Wayfarin’ Workshops (May - July 2024) – with Plymouth University
Wayfarin’ was a community arts project about going for walks, creating and playing games and sharing stories together.
The project was organized by Jamie Harper, a researcher at the University of Plymouth, with support from WonderZoo.
This project had 30 local residents of the Stonehouse area take part.
Slain created walking trips around the Plot, Union Street and other places as a springboard for inventing board games about the local area.
The walks and game sessions took place over six weeks with 12 workshops between May and June.
The final event was an exhibition in August 2024 at Plymouth Foodbank with the games produced by Plymouth University being played by those who took part in the workshops.
The artwork for the games was created by Caroline Merricks, one of the participants.
"We had a fantastic time, thankyou!" - Caroline Merricks

"I thought the board game I played was really well done and very well put together." - Tim Johnson.
