"The team at WonderZoo have grass roots insight and connections to many of the creatives in the local area. They are able to tap into a diverse range of talent and have experience curating interesting, educational and entertaining performances and events. Their determination to support and uplift the arts scene is inspiring and it's great to work with them and see their progress and the positive impact it has on the community they live and work within." - Bec Crispin, Nudge Community Builders.
"I worked with WonderZoo on a research project [Wayfarin' walks and workshops] using play to invite residents of the Stonehouse area to think creatively about their environment. Slain from WonderZoo did a great job of leading walks around the neighbourhood, sharing details of local history but also encouraging people to explore and look at the environment with fresh eyes. As an arts researcher, collaborative relationships with participants are key and WonderZoo helped me build the kind of collaboration that I couldn't have done on my own. The project we made together produced some really good insights about how a playful mindset can shift the ways that people think and feel about the place where they live and I think it also created a fun opportunity for local people to connect with each other. As an arts organisation focused on community, collaboration and storytelling, I think WonderZoo are very well placed to deliver innovative research partnerships with academics and people from a diverse variety of backgrounds." - Dr Jamie Harper, Lecturer in Drama, University of Plymouth
